How does evaporative cooling compare to ducted reverse-cycle?

Evaporative cooling uses far less electricity and supplies 100% fresh air throughout the home. You’ll typically run it with some windows/doors ajar for constant airflow, which many families prefer for comfort and air quality in dry summer heat.

Is the MagIQtouch® controller worth it?

Yes—MagIQtouch® offers an intuitive touch screen, timers/schedules and optional Wi-Fi control (model dependent). It’s a great upgrade if you want “set and forget” convenience.

What maintenance do evaporative coolers need?

Seasonal service is recommended: clean pads & tank, check water distribution, pump and drain, test the controller/fan, and confirm the winter seal. We offer a fixed-price Evaporative Service.

Will it work on very hot days?

Yes—Braemar’s high-efficiency pads and airflow deliver strong cooling in dry heat. For best results, maximise airflow (open leeward windows/doors) and start early to pre-cool the home.

What about water use?

Water is used to keep pads wet and to refresh reservoir water. Systems like Paradigm include water-management features (e.g., Water Manager, auto drain) to maintain hygiene and efficiency while managing consumption.

How loud are the units?

Modern Braemar units are designed for quiet operation. The SuperStealth® series uses an inverter axial fan and motor to minimise noise while maintaining high airflow.
